| Day 1, HELSINKI: Arrival to Helsinki and transfer on your own to downtown. Check into your hotel in the very heart of Helsinki. Hotel: Scandic Simonkentta or similar Day 2, HELSINKI: Enjoy a city tour of Helsinki featuring the main sights including the Presidential Palace, City Hall, The Parliament buildings, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. Stops at the Sibelius Monument, and when possible, at the Temppeliaukio Church (church in the rock). Hotel: Scandic Simonkentta or similar * B Day 3, HELSINKI-TALLINN: Transfer on own to pier for morning departure by catamaran to Tallinn (1,5 hours). Arrive in Tallinn, where your local guide will meet and transfer by private sedan car to your hotel. Overnight in one of the nice and charming small hotels in the Old City of Tallinn. Hotel: Merchant's House Hotel or similar * B Day 4: TALLINN After breakfast you will explore the city's most important sights on a three-hour walking tour of the old parts of the city. You have time for a stroll to enjoy the wealth of its medieval architecture. From Toompea, the Castle hill, you have a magnificent view over the city and the Baltic Sea. Hotel: Merchant's House Hotel or similar * B Day 5: TALLINN-VIA BALTICA-PÄRNU-RIGA You travel along the famous Via Baltica from Tallinn via Pärnu where stop of ca.1 hour and onwards to Riga, the capital of Latvia. In August 1989 the Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians formed a human chain through all the three countries, and Via Baltica became to symbolize the road to freedom. Arrival in Riga in the evening. Overnight at one of the small hotels of the city. Hotel: Konventa Seta or similar * B Day 6: RIGA The morning sightseeing introduces Riga's historic sights, which display a wide variety of architectural styles. Hotel: Konventa Seta or similar * B Day 7: RIGA-SIAULIAI-KAUNAS-VILNIUS Tour proceeds to the town of Siauliai, you will see a spectacular sight: a mound covered with thousands of big and small crosses. The locals call this place the Hill of Crosses. Then onwards to Kaunas, the former capital of Lithuania where stop of ca. 1 hour. Continue towards Vilnius where overnight in one of the small hotels. Hotel: Artis or similar * B Day 8: VILNIUS In the morning you will get a close view of the monumental sights of Vilnius, all bearing witness to the rich history of the city. They include the Cathedral, the University, which dates back to the 1570's, and the white church of Saints Peter and Paul.
