Day 1, HELSINKI Arrival to Helsinki, Finland’s modern and sophisticated capital with numerous museums, rich musical life and wide variety of exhibitions and events. Check into hotel of your choice. Hotel S G P D Day 2, HELSINKI-HÄMEENLINNA Travel by train to Hämeenlinna, birthplace of composer Jean Sibelius. Hämeenlinna is a beautiful quaint town by Lake Vanajavesi and its main landmark is the Häme Castle, one of Finland’s medieval royal castles dating to end of 13th century. Hotel S G Day 3, HÄMEENLINNA-TAMPERE A full day lake cruise past beautiful lake land scenery to Tampere, the second largest city in Finland. The city was founded in 1779 and has over 200 lakes within its border. Hotel S G Day 4, TAMPERE-TURKU Today take a train to Turku, the former capital and oldest city in Finland, dating back to around 1229.
